Dear friends,

Over the past few weeks, I have been receiving many questions about the ABM—Align, Breathe, Move—method from people who need clarification and more details. That is the purpose of this letter.

B.K.S. Iyengar, a great master of the body’s wisdom, once said that the trillions of cells in the body are like eyes. Some are open, and some are closed.

The more “eyes” we have open within us, the greater our potential for a life rich in presence. The ABM method aims to cultivate an individual’s relationship with their body, so that it becomes the vehicle for a life of meaning, flow, and richness.

It is based on body awareness—identifying physical habits and peculiarities and tracing their causes—on temporarily distancing oneself from one’s familiar form and then re-inhabiting it—on cultivating awareness of posture and movement - the process of disidentification and reconnection with oneself and the world.

Through the framework of alignment and mindful breathing, the method awakens areas of the body with limited awareness, harmonizes and cultivates connection, sensory perception, and bodily intelligence.

Through the use of experiential anatomy, visualization techniques, and active observation, receptivity to the inner self and to the external world is cultivated.

The method is not an “exercise” or “workout” but a means for self-awareness and personal growth. It is intended for people who wish to expand their consciousness and connect more deeply with themselves and the world.

In summary, the ABM I method—Alignment-Breathing-Movement—is a system for realigning oneself with the body and, by extension, with oneself and the world.

The program consists of eight three-hour sessions, beginning on Sunday, October 11, and continuing every second Sunday of the month through May. It would be best for anyone interested to commit to the entire series of workshops so that they can gain the full range of information and tools that will allow them to truly delve deeply into the method. In any case, please do not miss more than one session.

Due to the nature of the workshop, our group will be small, and the spots are almost all filled. I am very happy about your prompt response and look forward to embarking on this journey.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your trust,

Eleftheria
